On June 13, WWOZ sponsored a community forum on music education. The forum addressed a number of questions: What's working with music education today in New Orleans? What's not? How can we help pass New Orleans music onto the next generation?
So far this summer, we've celebrated Oysters, Creole Tomatoes, and Cajun & Zydeco music, and that's just in the French Quarter. It may be steamy-n-sticky, but the music just gets better as the temperature increases, so check out some of the exciting music festivals and other diversions in and around greater New Orleans and south Louisiana this summer.
