Louisiana Music Factory Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Louisiana Music Factory celebrated its 20th anniversary on Saturday, February 25th. The record store that has become a destination for music lovers from New Orleans and around the world hosted six hours of in-store performances to a full house of fans.

Missing from Wednesday - I'm at IBC in Memphis

I have been missing for two weeks and will be out for one more week. The last two I had work that kept me away from the city on Wednesday. This week while I will be working during the day I will be on Beale Street each evening for The International Blues Challenge. IBC is the largest gathering of blues band in the world.

Blaze Foley, the Duct Tape Messiah

The feature-length music documentary "Duct Tape Messiah" comes to Chickie Wah Wah on Saturday, January 21, 2012. The film captures the life of legendary Texan crooner Blaze Foley, who died homeless and with no official albums released. Since his murder in 1989, Foley's music has been covered by Wilie Nelson, Merle Haggard, John Prine, Lyle Lovett, Nancy Griffith, and more.
