Heartbleed Bug: Change Your Password

If you're registered at wwoz.org, please change your password to protect your data against an internet-wide security vulnerability called the "Heartbleed" bug. The Heartbleed bug affects the OpenSSL framework, which run is by about two-thirds of the servers on the internet, including ours. Read more about Heartbleed here.

If you normally stay logged in to wwoz.org, you'll notice that you have been logged out. We have deployed the updated OpenSSL libraries and renewed all of our SSL certificates. We then logged out all users to ensure that everyone would create new, secure connections.

Finally, note that the portions of our site that handle financial transactions, such as Membership and the Swamp Shop, are not vulnerable to the Heartbleed bug.

Should you change your password on other sites you visit? This page has some advice on that matter.
