Festivals Acadiens et Créoles is here again, happening October 7-11 at Girard Park in Lafayette. This year's festival is a little extra special, as it commemorates 250 years of Acadians surviving and thriving in southern Louisiana.
The first Tremé Festival, hosted by the Historic Faubourg Tremé Association (HFTA), is happening Saturday, October 3, from 11a-8p. This free festival kicks off a weekend full of events raising funds for urgent repairs for the St. Augustine Catholic Church.

The fourth annual Bogalusa Blues & Heritage Festival is happening September 25-26 at Cassidy Park in Bogalusa, LA. The festival features many Louisiana musicians, as well as some national blues acts. In its inaugural year, the festival was named "Louisiana's Best New Event" and 2014 saw the festival expand from one day to two.
