1) Flu season is coming up and the New Orleans Musicians Clinic and Tales of the Cocktail have teamed up with Walgreens to offer another round of Shots4Shots, an event with free flu shots for local musicians, performers, and service industry workers. If you fit in either of those categories and want your free flu shot, head to Snug Harbor on Tuesday, November 29 between noon and 4p. There will also be performances from Tom Worrell, Margie Perez, Lynn Drury, and Soul Brass Band. You've also got a chance to throw some pies at local celebrities, including WWOZ's own Derrick Freeman!

2) Men & Lady Buckjumpers are steppin' out this Sunday at noon! Catch the second line parade route from Takin' It To The Streets.

3) November 29 is #GivingTuesday, an international day of giving back! This event kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. If WWOZ has enriched your life in 2016, please consider giving thanks to the station that brightens your life with a donation on this global day of giving.

4) The Historic New Orleans Collection is celebrating the launch of its latest book, a new illustrated edition of A Life In Jazz by Danny Barker, on Thursday, December 1, with a special live version of journalist and radio host Gwen Thompkins’s Music Inside Out at 533 Royal St. from 6-8:30p. The night will feature interviews and remembrances of Barker (1909–1994) interspersed with musical performances showcasing his playing style, and a variety of special guests. This new edition of A Life In Jazz--the third volume in THNOC's Louisiana Musicians Biography Series--brings Barker’s legacy back into print, adding fresh insight to his significant career. More than 100 images illuminate his life story, while a complete discography, a new introduction by Thompkins, and never-before-published song catalog showcase the breadth of his work. More info on this event available here.

5) Lots going on this weekend, including the Small Business Saturday Second Line at noon starting from the Healing Center on Saturday and the 2016 Draw-A-Thon at the Marigny Opera House, happening Saturday and Sunday. Weather looks great!
