I have been wandering around for the past few years obsessively collecting tape of the characters and sounds that never cease to amaze me. Before landing my current gig as a reporter for WWOZ, I worked all kinds of jobs and have recorded everything I have done, including several hitchhiking trips through the U.S., Central America and Europe.
I have worked on the assembly line in the perfume factories of New York City, as a bartender in a Mexican fishing village on the Pacific Coast, as a deck hand on a glacier tour boat and spit rat cannery drudge in Alaska, and had various other glamorous titles such as head busboy and cafeteria janitor.
I am currently living in New Orleans producing stories at WWOZ for a weekly series called Street Talk. My work has been featured on NPR, Weekend America and various local stations throughout the country.
